Starting entrepreneur?

Chances are then you have also already looked at my page on the free coaching which I do (first aid at start-up). However, that is limited to one free call and I only have four spots in the month for those calls.

Are you a start-up entrepreneur and have need for a more structural coaching or guidance on the choices you need to make, then this coaching for start-ups is really for you.

Got in touch with Michiel through a good acquaintance of mine. Put the questions I had on the email in advance, so we were able to quickly and optimally connect together.

All my questions answered plus a lot of tips and tricks for good SEO texts, optimisation of my website and findability in Google and again a lot of new ideas to make the website even more professional. Very nice to connect with such an experienced person, if needed. Thanks Michiel!

Let's start at the beginning

You have your Chamber of Commerce registration, a VAT number and have contacted someone for a website. You know what you want to sell and to whom. Maybe you got your first order via via, or through Linkedin scored. You know what you want and when. Your plan is complete. Now to get started.

Every start-up entrepreneur knows the uncertainty about income, about that next assignment, about only two months' salary in the bank. If you want to spar about those uncertainties, you've come to the right place. I am an expert by experience. From quitting my job too early, to entering into (internal/external) collaborations in the wrong proportions, I have experienced it all.

No matter what kind of company

Okay, one company buys in and the other does not. One company hangs onto its website, the other doesn't. But it's all about people taking the plunge. It's about a changing situation, from employee to entrepreneur, from self-employed to Z with staff.

The problems are different but also largely the same. OK, I've never really worked in a trading company, but two tonnes of frozen stock that is due to expire tomorrow and therefore needs to be processed is no stranger to me. To name a few.

I was:

  • Consultant at a temporary employment agency (Tempo-Team)
  • Logistics manager at an export company in fresh produce (Two Princess / Straatman)
  • Assistant sales manager (Two Princess / Straatman)
  • Editor / co-founder of an online (blog) magazine (Aboutblank.co.uk)
  • IT consultant at Rotterdam municipal tax authority (Baas & Roost Advies)
  • Department head of an internet department (Solviteers)
  • Web editor and community administrator at a major recipe site (Smulweb.co.uk)
  • Marketer / operations manager at a large internet agency (EastSite)
  • Front-end developer HTML/CSS/Coldfusion (Carlos Gallupa)
  • General manager at a site builder (Carlos Gallupa)
  • ZZP-er: site builder and internet consultant (Studio Foppe)
  • Senior SEO consultant at an SEO consulting company (Yoast.com)
  • Operations director (COO) at a major SEO software maker (Yoast.com)
  • Conversion specialist (Yoast.com)

It is not so much about what label you want to attach to it, I have experience from left to right through the entrepreneurial and start-up spectrum. And I'd like to share that experience with you through my coaching.

Location

We have several options for meeting. It can be at your office, at me at the office (great coffee), but we can also go for a walk! If we walk about five kilometres, you'll have had two-thirds of your steps again too! And walking is the easiest way to think without fretting.

Let's begin.

Your first steps in entrepreneurship may be scary and unpredictable. And you run into things you can't discuss with anyone in your circle of acquaintances. Feel free to email me then, okay?
