Oh, Nijmegen. My home town. I live just next door, in Wijchen. Nijmegen is the city where I first pointed a camera at the street. Nijmegen is a city known for its rich history, cosy atmosphere and beautiful architecture. It is the oldest city in the Netherlands!
In Nijmegen, I organise monthly photo walks. It is the inner city I know like the back of my hand, and I am sure I can show you new photogenic spots! See you soon?
The workshops below are for beginners and people who have had a camera in their hands before. I'm sure I can teach you to see things differently!
I prefer to book a 1-on-1 workshop
"Thank you for the really fun workshop yesterday. Taking photos with my own phone will never be the same again!"

Nijmegen's city centre is home to several historic buildings, such as the St Stevenskerk, a beautiful Gothic church known for its tall tower and impressive interior.
Another interesting spot is the Hessenberg, a hill in Nijmegen's lower town known for its historic appearance and modern architecture. The area around the Railway Bridge is also worth a visit, with its beautiful views of the river Waal and surrounding buildings.
We will discover it all. Nijmegen is a city known for its variety, social character and city parks. There are numerous parks in the city centre, such as the Kronenburgerpark, or the Valkhof with its beautiful view of the Waal bridge. For CameraNow, I have been providing lectures and photowalks around the theme of Street Photography.
My textbook Straatfotobijbel appeared in 2023 from Photofacts Publishing (free with the workshop). I have been writing monthly since 2025 for the same Photofacts and in my own newsletter. In addition, in 2023 and 2024, I wrote monthly columns for Focus Magazine, the photography magazine of the Netherlands.
From the moment I immersed myself in street photography, I was hooked. I don't leave the house without a camera because street photography can be done anywhere!
