On this page you will find some of the photo projects I have been working on. Don't expect difficult lighting set-ups or biggest briefings from me; I work intuitively and preferably like a fly on the wall, so that my subjects have a casual and enjoyable time. But if I need to use a flash, of course I come with my complete mobile studio!

Portrait shoot Inge Ariens

Besides the fact that Inge and I have known each other for years and worked together for years, we both love picking up a camera. So when I asked Inge to sit model in my mobile studio to try out lighting and set-ups, she immediately said "Yes". An incredibly fun day, resulting in, among other things, these photos!

Personal Branding: Danielle Kool of Cabbage

Sometimes you just get lucky and a photo session goes so effortlessly that it's hard to make a selection. I had that with Danielle from Cabbage. We've known each other for years, and then it's uncomfortable for five minutes and then you just take fun photos. Lots of laughs, great result!

EVENT: Shimmering Summer Sunday, The Archies

I was asked by band the Archies to capture their performance at the Sweltering Summer Sunday in Eindhoven. I chose black and white for some of the photos and I would like to show you. This kind of photography (event / behind-the-scenes) always reminds me why I chose this amazing profession!

Website and social media: ROC Nijmegen

For ROC Nijmegen's image database, I made several images at three locations. Naturally, the students were asked for permission. After this, we simulated everyday situations, keeping in mind the viewing direction and lines in the pictures. That way, it is possible to direct your website visitor to buttons or links, for example (conversion optimisation). From my internet past, I was able to bring together two areas of experience in this shoot!

Promotion: Municipality of Nijmegen

For a brochure by the Municipality of Nijmegen, I was sent out to take photos in shades of green/blue. My logical choice was the iconic and by Frank Boeijen sung Kronenburger Park. I took several regular and drone photos.

Event: ColorRun Camping Elm Field

Being a photographer gets you somewhere! During my holiday, my camera was noticed and I was asked to do a photo report of the organised colour run. All environmentally friendly, of course! Here is a small impression.

Promotion: Musical group BRIES, performance BLOEMRIJK

For musical group Bries, I was allowed to photograph the promotional material for the show Flowery. "The promotional material?" Just say fairy tale portrait!

Magazine: Number of portraits for BEP Magazine #2

For the Nijmegen magazine BEP, I was once again allowed to capture a number of Nijmegen women on film. Because the magazine is not out yet and Google finds everything, I will leave out the names here! But fortunately we have the photos ~~yet~~ al:

Portraits and social media content: ALEX Lawyers

For ALEX Lawyers, I got to capture portraits as well as social media and website content. After the portraits, I stayed an hour longer and, while the team just went about their work, was able to capture the casual atmosphere in the fantastically decorated office.

Private project: Contemplative street photography in Paris

I was in the fortunate circumstance of joining a workshop in Paris by the amazing photographer Valérie Jardin: See Paris with your heart. It is my pleasure to share here a far too small selection of all the beautiful photos I had the pleasure of taking during this week.

Event: Ons Huis, Nederasselt

To show what there is to do in community centre Ons Huis, with a focus on the elderly aged 55+. And if I wanted to take some photos to go with it. With minimal instruction to make a good overview of the afternoon. Fantastic to do, and it produced some great images!

Portrait: Rachelle Verhage

In Zeeland, on the beach of Vrouwenpolder, I photographed free spirit Rachelle Verhage. "You tell me, you're the photographer." Then I couldn't help but let go and just let it happen. And then you get these kind of beautiful pictures.

Own project: Street photography Rotterdam

With the country's best-known street photographer Fokko Muller I got to work on street photography assignments in photogenic Rotterdam. I was particularly enthused by the portraits (posed, with permission) and the clean lines of the city!

Business portrait - Nancy van Nuland

Business portrait for the always good-humoured Nancy van Nuland, for social media and website. "Something with bridges," was the assignment. Together we headed into Leurse Heerlijkheid to take photos!

Event: DeMedia100 - M100

With inspirer (so may I say) Henk-Jan Winkeldermaat was I allowed as second shooter along to M100 (formerly DeMedia100), the media event of 2022 where the 100 most influential media people were announced. Learned a lot!

Business portrait: Wenink Holtkamp Architects

For architectural firm Wenink Holtkamp in Eindhoven, I was allowed to take photos in and around their office in Strijp-S for their website and a paper publication.

Own project: night photography in Nijmegen

Workshop with Dave Zuuring, night photography in Nijmegen. Made a lot of beautiful pictures, incredibly cool to do. Something very different! Keep challenging yourself.

Event: Dutch Comic Con (DCC)

With fellow photographer Bart Nijs for his assignment, I went along for a day as second shooter to Dutch Comic Con 2022. 25,000 people at the Jaarbeurs. Fantastic experience, a small sample of far too many photos!

Business portrait: SitePack - Peter and Martin van Wilderen

For Peter and Martin's SitePack I was asked to take a business portrait. At their fantastic location in the General de Bonskazerne in Grave, we took profile photos and a photo in their office.

Business portrait: Mirjam van Elst - Words per kilo

Mirjam van Elst interviewed Angela Verkuijlen for BEP Magazine and that's how we met. For Mirjam, we took photos for social media and more on a drizzly day in Grave. Mirjam's smile and her coat still made the day super cheerful!

For BEP Magazine, the magazine for striking women from Nijmegen, allowed me to take a series of photos of Angela Verkuijlen, the quartermaster at The Basis in Nijmegen.

Wijchen Library - Kees Lewiszong by Navarone

In 2021, I photographed several activities in the Wijchen Library, including a visit from guitarist Kees Lewiszong off the record Navarone during children's book week.

't Stekje Nijmegen - spontaneous product shoot

Sometimes you come across likeable businesses on Instagram that then send you a spontaneous message. That's how I ended up at 't Stekje in Nijmegen, a shop selling beautiful plants and pots by Nijmegen makers.

BEP Magazine - Miriam Jongerius' restaurant bus

For BEP Magazine, the magazine for striking women from Nijmegen, allowed me to take a series of photos of Mirjam Jongerius, who sold her pancake restaurant and is now building a restaurant in a big yellow school bus.

The Best of Gelderland - Behind the scenes

Eyes & Ears Asked me some behind the scenes (BTS) taking pictures of the shooting of The Best of Gelderland for Omroep Gelderland. This best-viewed programme is presented by Jochem van Gelder and Sandra Ysbrandy.
