RACI model

Who has which for responsibilities in a project?

To clarify who has what role in a process, the RACI model can be used.

  • Responsible - who is responsible For the work? Who does the work? Could be an individual, or a team.
  • Accountable - who is the owner of the work? Who decides that the work is finished? This is always an individual.
  • Consulted - who can advise, who is domain specialist? These are the people and departments that need to share information before work can be done. They actively participate in the process.
  • Informed - who should abreast remain? These are the people who need to be kept "in the loop" but have no active role. They contribute nothing actively to the end result.

This could look like this, for example:

By applying the RACI model, everyone in the project knows what does and does not lie with them, and who can be held accountable for what part.
