TFP shoot

Time for portfolio

Time for Portfolio (TFP) shoots

TFP stands for Time for Portfolio. Put simply: you invest time, I invest time, and together we make images we both get something out of. No payment, but a collaboration with mutual respect.

I offer a limited number of TFP shoots. That is a matter of time, and of being fairly selective, if I am honest. I like working with people I click with. People I can learn something from, or with whom I can make something that fits both our portfolios.

Perhaps you have just started modelling and you are building a portfolio. You are after calm, honest images that show who you are. Not posed Instagram photos, but portrait photography you can take to an agency or simply be proud of.

Or you have been at it longer and you are looking for a different direction. Maybe you have plenty of colour work but no atmospheric black and white. Or you would simply like to be in front of a lens again without commercial pressure.

The point is that we both take something away from it. That you are open to the way I work, and that I can see how you fit into what I make.

We meet at my studio in Wijchen. We start quietly with coffee or tea. No hurry. Just getting acquainted and talking through what we are going to do.

Then we photograph. Relaxed, with room to search for what works. I guide you, and you do not need any experience. But there is every opportunity for your own input. We take the time it needs.

After the shoot you get ten edited photos. Black and white, in my style. Images you are free to use for your portfolio, website or social media, as long as you credit me as the photographer. I use the photos for my own portfolio as well. Beforehand we both sign a quitclaim (model release form), so we know where we stand.

What I ask is that you are open to collaborating. That you are present during the shoot, not only physically but with your attention. That the process matters to you as much as the result.

You do not need experience, but you do need to be willing to invest time and energy. Just as I do.

Are you under 18? Then it is unfortunately not possible. I work exclusively with adults.

Are you under 21? Then only accompanied by a friend or a parent. Nobody under 21 comes alone. That matters to me for a safe and comfortable collaboration.

Any questions?
Email me first if you like, or send me a DM on Instagram.

Interested?

Send me an email through the form below, or DM me on Instagram with a short introduction. Tell me where you are, what you are looking for and why you think we would work well together. Add a link to your Instagram, or to your page on somewhere like modelmanagement.com. Your photos do not have to be professional; it is about giving me an impression.

I look at every request. Sometimes it fits, sometimes it does not. That may be because my diary is full or because I feel it is not quite a click. Sometimes I first ask you to make a shared Pinterest board, to see whether we expect the same thing. I always answer honestly.
