Photo studio at your location

As a photographer, I am happy to bring my studio to you or your business. There are several advantages to working this way.

My basic setup is a plain white background with a reflector and a single light, and it comes with real advantages. It saves time, since while one person is being photographed, everyone else can simply carry on working — no travel, no one running late. It is convenient too: no commuting or sitting in a waiting room, you just carry on with your day and step in front of the camera when it is your turn. The portraits come out more relaxed as well. It is perfectly normal to feel a little uneasy about having your photo taken, and being in a familiar environment helps put people at ease in front of the lens. With two lights and a neutral background that I bring along, the result still looks polished and professional, and because there are none of the overheads of a physical photo studio and all its equipment, it is cost-effective too. There is your own wall as a background and natural light from a window, and I bring up to three professional Profoto lights, renowned for the quality of their flash equipment — my kit covers every type of portrait, from a full studio light to a small background light, and it works just as well to support the available light if that is what you prefer. Softboxes in various sizes let us spread the light softly for a flattering look, or push it harder for more bite and contrast. For backgrounds, depending on the mood we are after, we use your own wall or one of my professional Westcott backdrops in white, black or grey — outdoors, of course, none of that is needed at all. And to bounce light exactly where it is wanted, I carry a mobile panel that doubles as an oversized softbox, which gives us even more flexibility in the setup for the best possible result at your location. I put this mobile photo studio together in consultation with experts, and I have set it up so that I can build and break it down quickly and efficiently: flexibility does not have to come at the cost of speed.
