Want to know all the rules for shooting on the street? Have you ever wondered whether those beautiful photos of yours are actually legal, or hesitated over whether you should post something on Instagram? In this e-book, Charlotte and I discuss, in a practical way and with photos, every legal aspect of street photography.

I met Charlotte Meindersma, whom I'd known "from online" for years, in 2023 at Cupp in Utrecht. Notebook and phone in hand, and far too many questions. Our Oploskoffie turned into a walk with a camera, hundreds of DMs on Instagram and a street photography workshop in London. The idea for this book grew out of all those conversations.

In plain language

In De Wet van de Straat (in Dutch) you'll find, in plain language, everything about the restrictions of public space, portrait rights and copyright, as far as they apply to street photography. This book is deliberately not meant to scare you. Quite the opposite: with this knowledge, I myself walk the streets far more at ease.

What readers say

"With this e-book in your pocket, you can head out onto the street with confidence, knowing what your rights are and where they end."Focus Magazine
