Prague feels like a city that has never let go of its past; there is always a hint of melancholy in the winding streets, in the soft light on old facades, and in the faces of passers-by.
Prague is a city that whispers in shadows and light.
Prague is a city that invites you to capture the beauty and history of Europe at a glance. From the old town with its cobbled streets and impressive castles to the modern atmosphere on the banks of the Vltava (the Czech name for the Moldau), there is a story waiting to be captured everywhere you look. Here you will experience a unique blend of light and shadow, and a fascinating interplay between ancient architecture and vibrant city energy.
Seize this opportunity to improve and refine your skills and experience Prague in a whole new way. My workshops are for beginners and advanced photographers. Basic knowledge of your camera is required.

Who is this workshop for?
The workshop runs for two days, from ten to three. We keep it compact on purpose, so you stay focused and don't get lost wandering around endlessly. Your skill level doesn't matter. Whether you're just starting out or have been shooting for years, everyone will get something unique from this. All you need is a camera, any camera! A mirrorless, a DSLR, a compact, or even your phone. Just make sure you're looking!
We will work on seeing. On composition. On how light and shadow together create an image. On color, movement, and perspective. And also on people. How to photograph someone without disturbing them, without noise, with respect and attention. That is perhaps the most exciting and beautiful part.
You don't learn by listening, but by doing. By observing how I work, how others work, and above all by experiencing it yourself on the street. Throughout the day, you will be given assignments that take you out of your comfort zone. They force you to slow down, make more conscious choices, and really be present in the city. These assignments can sometimes feel uncomfortable or challenging, but they work. By the end, almost everyone notices that they see things differently than when they started. And you can see that in their photos.
Paris? Easy to travel to!
For those joining from the Netherlands: Prague is really easy to reach by train. I travel first class for 70 euro one-way myself. Second class can be as low as 55 euro. So, it's affordable and sustainable. Hotel prices vary, but Prague isn't super expensive. You'll find a good hotel for reasonable prices. Public transport, especially trams, is really well organized.
The workshop runs for two days, on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Day one focuses on the old and new city. We walk from Palac Zofin on the small island in the Vltava River to the Josefov district. Via the old town square Staromestske namesti with its mechanical clock, we proceed via Václavské námesti and the Dancing House.
Day two is alternately very busy and possibly quiet, as we walk across the famous Charles Bridge through Mala Strana to Prague Castle (Prazsky hrad). We get lost in the alleys around Novy Svet and find our way back to the center of Prague.
