Amsterdam dwingt je als straatfotograaf om keuzes te maken. Kijk je mee met de stroom, dan maak je ansichtkaarten. Stap je eruit, dan vind je lagen, botsingen en momenten die alleen ontstaan als je durft te wachten.
Straatfotografie in onze hoofdstad Amsterdam
Amsterdam! Onze hoofdstad is een stad die bekend staat om zijn pittoreske straten, grachten en architectuur. Het is een stad die rijk is aan cultuur en geschiedenis en die misschien wel meer dan andere steden bekend staat om zijn levendige straatleven.
Dit maakt Amsterdam een perfecte stad voor straatfotografie. De Amsterdammers zijn vriendelijk en open, en op elke straathoek gebeurt wel iets. Amsterdam is ook een zeer toegankelijke stad, goed bereikbaar met de trein, en prima lopend te verkennen!
In mijn workshops leer ik je anders kijken, nieuwe invalshoeken en sparren we samen over leuke fotografieprojecten waar je vandaag mee aan de slag kunt!

Een dagje Amsterdam met je camera
Een middagje Amsterdam. De winkelstraten in en een terrasje. Ja, zo kun je de stad ook bekijken. Maar op dat
terrasje ga je mensen kijken en dat is toch het leukste wat er is? In Amsterdam maakte je vast al foto’s van de mooie, oude gebouwen, het Vondelpark en de duiven.
De Amsterdammers maken de stad. Herman van Veen zei het al: “Alle venters hadden eigen aria’s, voor sprot en haring voor begonia’s”. Amsterdam is gemaakt voor straatfotografie, waarbij het menselijke element een belangrijke rol speelt. Of je nu op een drukke zebra gaat staan in de buurt van het station waar de mensen voorbijrazen naar hun werk, of juist het NDSM terrein bezoekt en de mens laat samensmelten met de creativiteit van Amsterdam Noord.

Guided assignments based on assignment cards that you can take home with you.
Focus on techniques before lunch, on creating a series after lunch.
Lunch included, we'll get a sandwich and something to drink.
Of course, I'll share all my experiences with you, and help you learn to see things differently.
You will receive my book Straatfotobijbel (in Dutch) so you can continue practicing after the workshop. Easily translated with the camera option in Google Translate!

Level for this street photography workshop: All levels.
Recommended camera: Any camera, preferably with a prime lens.
Recommended lens: Generally, use any lens you're comfortable with, but a good guideline is 28 to 50mm full-frame.
You'll do the post-processing yourself at home, exactly how you like it. I'm happy to give you feedback on 5 of your photos via email.
