Street photography presentation

I would like to tell you about my travels as a street photographer through an extensive presentation full of photos. Of course, we will look at photos, but I will also give you useful tips about street photography!

  1. Street Photography Presentation
    I'll take you through the history of street photography using examples and give you lots of tips to get started. I've presented this at places like Museum Hilversum and various photo clubs, including Fotocafé West Brabant.

    With 10 concrete tips and lots of examples, you will learn to feel more comfortable on the street and you will want to get started with street photography as soon as possible. Given at CameraNu and various photo clubs, among others.

  3. Great, another photographer!
    Motivational presentation about standing out from the crowd and the obstacles that a novice photographer encounters, given as a guest lecture at ROC Koning Willem I in 's-Hertogenbosch, among other places.

    Aan de hand van voorbeelden neem ik jullie mee in de wereld van de belichtingsdriehoek, scherptediepte en nabewerking. Onder meer gegeven aan de deelnemers van YourNijmegen.nl.

  5. The Art of Standing Out Unnoticed (exclusive for CameraNu)
    Street photography isn't about hiding; it's about being present without disturbing. In this lecture, Michiel shows you how to hit the streets with confidence and respect. It's a motivating session full of insights and practical examples.

  6. Presentatie op maat
    Vanuit mijn duizenden foto’s en ervaringen uit binnen- en buitenland maak ik met plezier en zonder extra kosten een presentatie op maat voor jouw fotoclub of bedrijf, bijvoorbeeld over een specifiek aspect van (straat-)fotografie.

Reken op een 90 minuten durende presentatie, en de ervaring leert dat een volgend half uur zo is gevuld met vragen (tussendoor en naderhand) en napraten. Ik beantwoord ze heel graag voor je. Vanuit mijn passie voor straatfotografie weet ik jullie mee te nemen in de wereld van de straatfotografie. Ik weet zeker dat een aantal leden de dag erop de camera pakt om er zelf op uit te gaan.

It's really fun to go through submitted photos after a short break. Often, the group already has thoughts on the photos, which can lead to a great discussion. Everyone looks at street photography differently, and I love sharing my thoughts on your photos in an inspiring way! Of course, I'll bring my books along, so anyone interested can grab them right after the lecture, or during the break.

Street photography workshop for photography clubs and companies

For your photo club or company, I'm happy to offer a nice discount on my street photography workshops. There's nothing more fun than heading out with the group in the oldest city in the Netherlands: Nijmegen. I'll show you the photogenic spots in and around the city center and take you to my favorite street photography locations. If you'd rather go out in your own city, no problem at all! I'd be happy to create a custom workshop for you. For example, I've given workshops in Montfoort (two shopping streets) and Amsterdam Zuid. There's always something to see everywhere!

Especially when we go out with a group or small groups, you'll learn a ton. I'll send you out with fun assignments to rediscover the city. You can, of course, take the assignment cards I give you back to your own city to repeat the workshop with your photo club. And if you want to dive deeper into street photography, you can chill on the couch with my book Straatfotobijbel; there's a copy for everyone. This way, you'll take a lasting memory with you on your own street photography journey!
