Ik woon net ernaast, in Wijchen. Nijmegen is de stad waar ik voor het eerst een camera op de straat richtte.
Nijmegen is een stad die bekend staat om zijn rijke geschiedenis, gezellige sfeer en prachtige architectuur. Het is de oudste stad van Nederland!
In Nijmegen organiseer ik met regelmaat fotowandelingen. Het is de binnenstad die ik als mijn broekzak ken, en ik weet zeker dat ik je nieuwe fotogenieke plekken kan laten zien! Tot binnenkort?

Straatfotografie vanuit een duidelijk idee
Het stadscentrum van Nijmegen is de thuisbasis van verschillende historische gebouwen, zoals de St. Stevenskerk, een prachtige gotische kerk die bekend staat om zijn hoge toren en indrukwekkende interieur.
Een andere interessante plek is de Hessenberg, een heuvel in de benedenstad van Nijmegen die bekend staat om zijn historische uitstraling en moderne architectuur. De omgeving van de Spoorbrug is ook een bezoek waard, met zijn prachtige uitzicht op de Waal en de omliggende gebouwen.
We gaan het allemaal ontdekken. Nijmegen is een stad die bekend staat om zijn afwisseling, sociale karakter en stadsparken. Er zijn talloze parken in het centrum van de stad, zoals het Kronenburgerpark, of het Valkhof met zijn mooie uitzicht op de Waalbrug. Nijmegen is een zeer fotogenieke stad, met zijn pittoreske straten, historische gebouwen en prachtige parken. Kortom, Nijmegen is een stad die je als straatfotograaf niet mag missen!
In de workshop leer ik je jagen en vissen. We gaan kijken naar kadrering en het vastleggen van beweging. En als je zelf vragen hebt, behandelen we die natuurlijk ook!

Guided assignments based on assignment cards that you can take home with you.
Focus on techniques before lunch, on creating a series after lunch.
Lunch included, we'll get a sandwich and something to drink.
I will, of course, share all my experiences with you and help you learn to see things differently.

Recommended camera: All cameras, preferably with a fixed focal length lens
Recommended lens: Basically, any lens you feel comfortable with, but the guideline is 28 to 50mm full frame.
You can do the editing yourself at home, as you see fit. I am happy to give you feedback on 5 photos by email.

I am Michiel Heijmans, a professional photographer. I give workshops on street photography in the Netherlands and abroad. I wrote the photography books De Wet van de Straat (The Law of the Street), The Observer, and the textbook De Straatfotobijbel (The Street Photography Bible).
