Paris is a city that does not pose but breathes; in the soft light along the Seine, in the glances of passers-by, and in the silence between two footsteps, you can sense why people continue to dream here.
Paris is much more than the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
Ik nodig je graag uit voor mijn fotografieworkshop in Parijs dit jaar! Dompel je onder in twee dagen (straat)fotografie in wereldstad Parijs!
Paris is flooded with visitors every year because of its iconic monuments, bustling squares, and unmistakable atmosphere. It is a city of contrasts: the refined cafés along the Champs-Élysées contrast with the raw energy of the street performers in Belleville, the tranquil beauty of the Jardin du Luxembourg contrasts with the lively buzz of the Marché Bastille. Here, the light changes with every step—from the soft morning glow on the Seine to the dramatic shadows in the alleys of Le Marais. Paris exudes art, romance, and stories waiting to be captured.
“Michiel organizes fantastic street photography workshops. I took one in London. It was well-organized, with great routes through the city, a fun group, a relaxed atmosphere, and lots of inspiration. I'm definitely going again. Go for it!! It's almost addictive.”
Paris: a classic experience
Hou je van fotografie en wil je een nieuwe uitdaging aangaan? Wil je een stad ontdekken die je zal verrassen en inspireren? Dan is mijn workshop conceptuele fotografie in Parijs iets voor jou!
Paris is the city where classic black-and-white photography comes to life. The timeless charm of the cobbled streets of Montmartre, the elegant silhouettes on the Pont Neuf, and the play of light and shadow in the alleys around the Pantheon evoke the atmosphere of the great masters such as Cartier-Bresson.
The soft Parisian light and unique architecture provide the perfect canvas for contrasting images full of depth and emotion. As a street photographer, I am happy to help you capture these classic moments. With my guidance, you will learn how to use composition, timing, and atmosphere to create images that not only capture the character of Paris, but also help you discover your own black-and-white style.
Who is this workshop for?
The workshop runs for two days, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and is suitable and challenging for all levels, from beginners to advanced photographers. All you need is a camera, whether it's a DSLR, mirrorless, compact, or even a smartphone. You'll learn how to look at a city differently and create beautiful compositions. You'll discover how to best work with light, shadow, color, movement, and perspective. You'll also learn how to photograph people without disturbing or offending them.
You will learn how to tell your own story with your photos. You will learn this by doing and by watching me and the others! In addition, I will give you a number of assignments during the day that will force you to look at things differently. These assignments are always very well received because they provide focus. The sum of the assignments will make you look at your surroundings in a better and different way, resulting in more beautiful photos!
Paris? Easy to travel to!
For participants from the Netherlands: Paris is actually super easy to reach by train. From my experience, a one-way ticket will cost you somewhere between 50 and 150 euro. So, it's affordable and sustainable. Prices for hotels vary, and in Paris, prices change depending on the location. I'm a fan of the B&B Hotels chain myself – simple but good – but I also enjoy chains like CitizenM. Public transport with the metro is very well organized.
Schrijf je snel in, want de plaatsen zijn beperkt. Mis deze kans niet om je fotografie te verbeteren en verfijnen en een unieke stad te ontdekken. Ik zie je graag in Parijs! 📸
