Black-and-white photography forces you to look differently. You don't see a red coat or blue sky - you see rhythm, texture and emotion. You learn to work with light, and how that light can make or break your image. In this street photography workshop in Paris I let you experience how to make those choices consciously.
We analyse your images together, discuss why a scene works (or doesn't), and I give you assignments that allow you to dive straight into depth. Whether you shoot with your phone or a professional camera - it's all about your view, not your camera.
Paris is black and white
The city reveals itself easily, but it also demands attention. In colour, you quickly shoot too much. In black and white, you have to choose. During this workshop, I will show you how to bring calm to your image. How to capture the chaos of the city in one powerful moment. And how to develop yourself as a photographer.
We photograph in different neighbourhoods, from the rugged north to the intimate streets of the Passages de Paris. No rushing around, but rather: linger for a while. Watching for a moment. Waiting for that one moment.

You decide how to travel
Each participant arranges their own transport and accommodation. You choose how to get to Paris, where to sleep and how luxurious or basic you want to make it. The workshop itself is intense but relaxed. For two days, you will be part of a small group of photographers who all want to grow. You don't have to prove anything. Only to dare to look.
You get personal guidance, sharp feedback and space to develop your own style. And yes, there is also plenty of room for good conversation, a croissant and a glass of wine.
